Radio Specific Settings

Check your radio built in menus to make sure they are configured correctly.

Icom IC-7300

• CI-V USB Port Unlink from Remote
• CI-V USB Baud Rate and CI-V Address set to the same as in your Radio Settings
• CI-V USB Echo Back set to the same as your Radio Settings CI-V Echo check box
• CI-V Transceive OFF
• USB Serial Function CI-V
• Either turn OFF USB Keying or disable the DTR and RTS check boxes in your Radio Settings

Icom IC-7300 MK2

• CI-V USB Baud Rate and CI-V Address set to the same as in your Radio Settings
• CI-V USB Echo Back set to the same as your Radio Settings CI-V Echo check box
• CI-V Transceive OFF
• Either turn OFF USB Keying or disable the DTR and RTS check boxes in your Radio Settings

Icom IC-7610

• CI-V USB Port Unlink from Remote
• CI-V USB Baud Rate and CI-V Address set to the same as Radio Settings
• CI-V USB Echo Back set to the same as your Radio Settings CI-V Echo check box)
• CI-V Transceive OFF
• Either turn OFF USB Keying or disable the DTR and RTS check boxes in your Radio Settings

Icom IC-7760

• CI-V Baud Rate and CI-V Address set to the same as Radio Settings
• CI-V USB (B) Echo Back set to the same as your Radio Settings CI-V Echo check box
• CI-V Transceive OFF
• Either turn OFF USB Keying or disable the DTR and RTS check boxes in your Radio Settings

Icom IC-9700

• Menu - Set Connectors -

  • CI-V USB Baud Rate and CI-V Address set to the same as in your Radio Settings
    
  • CI-V USB Echo Back set to the same as your Radio Settings CI-V Echo check box
    
  • CI-V Transceive OFF
  • Either turn OFF USB Keying or disable the DTR and RTS check boxes in your Radio Settings
  • Sat Mode AFC OFF (front panel)

Icom IC-705

• Menu - Set Connectors (USB Serial Port)
  
  
  • CI-V Address set to the same as in your Radio Settings, Baud rate determined by Radio Settings
  • CI-V USB Echo Back set to the same as your Radio Settings CI-V Echo check box
    (Note:radio Preset FT8 Mode - turns Echo Back OFF)
    
  • CI-V Transceive OFF
  • Port Type: Serial Port
  • Port: /tmp/dp_sym_ic_705
  • Either turn OFF USB Keying or disable the DTR and RTS check boxes in your Radio Settings
  
  
• Menu - Set Connectors (Bluetooth - Must be paired first)
  
  
  • CI-V Address set to the same as in Radio Settings, Baud rate 19200
  • Port Type: Serial Port
  • Port: /dev/cu.ICOMBTIC-705-SPPDev
  • CI-V USB Echo Back On
  • CI-V Transceive OFF
  • Either turn OFF USB Keying or disable the DTR and RTS check boxes in your Radio Settings

Icom IC-R8600

(Use MacLoggerDX R8500 Driver)

• Menu - Set Connectors (Front or Rear USB depending on which one you are using)
  • CI-V USB Port Unlink from Remote
  • CI-V USB Baud Rate and CI-V Address set to the same as in your Radio Settings
  • CI-V USB Echo Back set to the same as in your Radio Settings CI-V Echo check box
  • CI-V Transceive OFF

Xiegu G90, X6100, X6200

• CI-V Echo check box in Radio Settings must agree with Radio.

• CAT-1 RATE 38400bps (must be the same as in the Radio Settings)
• CAT-1 TIME OUT TIMER 10ms

• 19 Same baud rate as in the Radio Settings
• 20 CAT

Yaesu FT-897

• 19 Same baud rate as in the Radio Settings

• 031 CAT RATE 38400bps (must be the same as in the Radio Settings)

• 033 CAT RTS DISABLE (or enable the RTS check box in the Radio Settings)

• 37 USB.
• 38 Same baud rate as in the Radio Settings

Yaesu FTdx10/101D/MP

• CAT RATE 38400bps (must be the same as in the Radio Settings)
• CAT RTS OFF (or enable the RTS check box in the Radio Settings)
• PC KEYING - if using DTR or RTS disable DTR/RTS check boxes in Radio Settings

Kenwood TS-590S

• 062 USB PORT BAUD RATE 115200 (must be the same as in the Radio Settings)
• Radio requires RTS check box enabled in the Radio Settings

Kenwood TS-590SG

• 068 USB PORT BAUD RATE 115200 (must be the same as in the Radio Settings)
• Radio requires RTS check box enabled in the Radio Settings

Kenwood TS-2000

• 056 COM PORT communication speed (must be the same as in the Radio Settings)
• Changes to radio baud rate require radio power cycle.
• Radio requires RTS check box enabled in the Radio Settings
